Rebecca Buckley is a London-based abstract artist whose work is inspired by a lifelong love of nature, colour, and pattern. With a degree in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design, her creative career began in fashion buying for leading high-street brands before moving into photographic styling, experiences that continue to inform her intuitive approach to painting.
Growing up in Kew, Rebecca was heavily influenced by the beauty of Kew Gardens and its abundance of botanical forms, colours, and textures. An avid gardener and flower grower, she draws inspiration from the natural world, creating expressive abstract paintings that celebrate growth, movement, and joy.
Her abstract paintings are known for their layered compositions, vibrant palettes, and thoughtful use of pattern. She hopes her work allows viewers to experience the joy of a walled garden in spring, the quiet contentment of time spent among flowers, the excitement of discovering the season's first blooms, and the beauty of rolling hills alive with colour.
She seeks to bring the outdoors in, capturing the warmth, optimism, and abundance of nature so that the feeling of summer can be enjoyed in the home throughout the year. Her work is an invitation to slow down, notice the beauty in everyday moments, and reconnect with the restorative power of the natural world.
A passionate interiors enthusiast, Rebecca has worked on numerous interiors publications and understands the transformative role art plays within the home. Her paintings are held in private collections around the world.
Rebecca lives in London with her husband and their three sons, Oliver, Rufus, and Theodore.
